このたび「第1回ジェネラティブアート・アワード」を開催いたします。ジェネラティブアートは、アルゴリズムを用いて生成される芸術作品の総称です。新興芸術として近年ブロックチェーン技術と結びつくことで大いに注目されるようになりました。日本におけるその起源は1960年代以降に登場したコンピュータアートに遡ります。 本アワードの目的は、ジェネラティブアートの魅力と可能性を発見し、まだ見ぬ才能を発掘することにあります。多くの素晴らしい作品に出会えることを楽しみにしています。皆様のご参加を、心よりお待ち申し上げております。 一般財団法人ジェネラティブアート振興財団代表理事　高尾俊介

• 本アワードは、アルゴリズムを構築し、当該アルゴリズムからプログラミング言語等を使用し、生成される芸術作品（以下「ジェネラティブアート」という）の啓発を目的として開催いたします。

募集作品の要件

募集作品の例

• プログラムコードまたはビジュアルプログラミングによって実行されるジェネラティブアート
• 鑑賞者の振る舞いによって変化するインタラクティブなアート
• これらに含まれない、生成的な表現を用いたアート

募集規定

• 作品情報
• 作品のタイトル
• 作品の解説文（500文字程度） *
• メディア：画像ファイルまたは動画ファイルと、プログラムコードを提出してください。
• 作品の画像または映像 *
• 画像ファイル（JPEG、PNGなど）
• 動画ファイル（MP4など）によるデモ動画（5分以内）
• 提出する画像・映像サイズ: 短辺の解像度が800px以上
• 実行可能なプログラムコード（一式をZIPファイルに圧縮）
• 各ファイルサイズ：1GB以内
• 提出可能数：一人最大2作品まで
• 提出に関する注意事項
• オリジナル作品のみの募集とします（既存作品のコピーや改変は不可）。
• 応募時点で、作品の著作権は応募者に帰属します。
• 展示およびアワードのプロモーションのために作品の画像や映像を使用する権利を、主催者に許諾するものとします。

「出展作品の応募及び選定に関する規程」に基づき選定委員会が、「アルゴリズムの独創性」「構図、色合い等の独創性」「全体としての芸術性」に着目し、審査を行い、展覧会に出展する作品の選定を行います。

Japan Generative Art Award

We are pleased to announce the "1st Japan Generative Art Award." Generative art is a generic term for artworks generated using algorithms. As an emerging art form, generative art has attracted much attention in recent years as it combines with blockchain technology. Generative art in Japan traces back to computer art that emerged after the 1960s. This award aims to introduce the appeal and potential of generative art and discover new talent. We eagerly anticipate submitting your unique and innovative works of art. Your participation is highly valued, and we look forward to seeing the creativity and talent you bring to this award. Award Overview and Purpose

• This award promotes and raises awareness of generative art, which involves constructing algorithms and using programming languages to generate artistic works (hereinafter referred to as "generative art").

Application Guidelines

Requirements for Submitted Art Work

Submitted works must meet the following conditions:

• Be art created using algorithms
• Align with the purpose of the exhibition
• Not infringe on third-party copyrights
• Not contain content that may offend others
• Not include content that violates public order and morals
• Not be intended for sale or promotion at the exhibition

Examples of Eligible Art Work

• Generative art executed through program code or visual programming
• Interactive generative art that changes based on viewer behavior
• Art using other generative expressions or algorithms not included above

Submission Rules

• Art Work Info:
• Title
• Work description (about 200 words)
• Art Work: Submit an image file or video file and program code.
• Image file (JPEG, PNG, etc.)
• Video file (MP4, etc.) demo video (within 5 minutes)
• Submitted image/video size: Minimum resolution of 800px on the shorter side
• Executable program code (compressed into a ZIP file)
• Maximum file size for each: 1GB
• Submission limit: Maximum of 2 works per person
• Submission notes:
• Only original works (copies or modifications of existing works are not allowed)
• Copyright of the work belongs to the applicant at the time of submission. The organizer is granted the right to use the work for exhibition and promotional purposes.

Eligibility and Application Fee

• Anyone who understands and agrees with the purpose of this award and the foundation can apply.
• There is no application fee.

Judging

Judging Criteria

Based on the "Regulations for Submission and Selection of Exhibition Works," the selection committee will judge entries focusing on "originality of the algorithm," "originality of composition and color scheme," and "overall artistic quality" to select works for the exhibition.

Works will be selected for each award through preliminary and final judging.

Award Announcement and Ceremony

Announcement date: Friday, October 11, 2024

• Results and selected works will be announced on the foundation's website.
• Selected works are scheduled to be exhibited in Japan in late October.
